… The exact nature of the agreement between TikTok and Oracle remains unclear, but it was not described as an outright sale. The news about Oracle came just after Microsoft announced that it will not buy TikTok's US operations from ByteDance.

While it’s an institution and system that claims to have been founded on the principle of fairness and justice for all, it is riddled with biases that disproportionately affect Black and brown Americans. From deeply flawed societal constructs that perpetuate injustice to discriminatory police, attorneys and judges, bias is one of the biggest issues that afflict our criminal judicial system.
