Centennial Man

Observations on articles I read to keep current about technology. My interests are: Privacy, security, business, the computer industry, and geeky stuff that catches my eye.

I don't think I have an agenda beyond my own amusement.

Note that I lump all my comments into a single post. This is not a typical BLOG technique, It's just an indication that I'm lazy.

Google Fact Check Tools

“The Fact Check Tools consist of two tools: Fact Check Explorer and Fact Check Markup Tool. Both tools aim to facilitate the work of fact checkers, journalists and researchers. Google does not endorse or create any of these fact checks. If you disagree with one, please contact the website owner that published it.

    • Can I search by image?

    • Why don’t I see the image context tab?

    • How do I change the email address I submitted for the image context beta?

    • Why do I get a “Could not find image” error for valid image URLs?

    • What if the input image has a lot of text?

    • How do I view the input image?

    • Which images are included in the corpus?

    • Why is the image thumbnail in the fact check result different from the input image?

    • Do you use MediaReview for Fact Check Search?

    • Can I use the “regular” Google reverse image search?

    • Sharing feedback

    • I didn’t get useful results — what are my other options?

    • Which fact checks are included?

    • How can I restrict results?

    • How can I just see the latest fact checks?

About Me

Centennial Man
I live in Centennial Colorado. (I'm not actually 100 years old., but I hope to be some day.) I'm an independant computer consultant, specializing in solving problems that traditional IT personnel tend to have difficulty with... That includes everything from inventorying hardware & software, to converting systems & data, to training end-users. I particularly enjoy taking on projects that IT has attempted several times before with no success. I also teach at two local Universities: everything from Introduction to Microcomputers through Business Continuity and Security Management. My background includes IT Audit, Computer Security, and a variety of unique IT projects.
